Addictions and Substance Use

Even if you don’t work directly in addiction services, it is important to understand the major treatment strategies and issues involved in drug use and misuse. Having a variety of treatment strategies in your toolkit to help support your clients can be invaluable even when dealing with addictions indirectly.

Here at Question of Care, we want to empower professionals from a wide variety of care and service fields with knowledge and skills to better understand their clients, to develop genuine relationships, and to provide the most effective care possible. When working with clients suffering from addiction, the Addictions 101 workshop provides a foundation in effective treatment strategies.

The Addictions 101 course covers a number of important aspects of addiction services:

– Understanding Different Substances

– Stages of Change
